FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

We know that exploring international opportunities can raise many questions. This section provides clear answers to common enquiries about game time, documentation, and program details.
Am I guaranteed game time?

Game time is merit-based; however, as part of an international academy program, you will have plenty of opportunities to play, whether with a local league team or in friendly matches for the International Academy. The games program varies by specific program.

What additional expenses should I budget for?

One major benefit of our partner programs is that fees cover nearly everything during your stay. You may need to budget for additional costs such as spending money, flights, visas, education, and potentially additional insurance depending on the program.

Do I need a visa?

Visa requirements differ based on individual circumstances and the specific program. We can provide guidance on whether you need a visa and outline the necessary steps. All programs we collaborate with have recommended lawyers to assist with this process if needed.

Do I need medical insurance?

All players are required to have appropriate health coverage. Some programs include this in their fees, while others partner with recommended providers. Depending on your residency and citizenship, you may not need additional coverage. We can help clarify the requirements.

What if I get injured?

Injuries are an unfortunate reality in a footballer’s career and can occur at any time. This is why having the right medical insurance is crucial. Injuries will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, and for long-term injuries, you may be eligible for a refund according to the program’s policy. Programs have the necessary staff to provide support and professional help if you are injured during your time with them.

How do I get from the airport to the program?

All programs provide airport transfers for players. Some may have specific arrival and departure date requirements, so ensure you understand these details before booking your travel. We recommend waiting for confirmation from the program or us regarding dates and details before booking flights.

Do parents need to accompany me?
Parents are not required to attend the program with you. Depending on your age, some programs may not be available, and airlines have varying policies for minors. Please check with airlines regarding their requirements before booking.
Can I attend multiple program options?
Yes, we encourage players to participate in multiple programs to maximize development and experience. However, based on your goals and choices, we may recommend a program that promotes consistency and continuity.
What are the requirements to join?
Our programs have different entry requirements, but generally, you should have a strong football background, be fit and healthy, and be dedicated to improving both on and off the pitch. We work with programs that accommodate various skill levels, and we will provide recommendations based on your profile.
Do players share rooms?
Room arrangements vary; some programs offer single occupancy, some at an extra cost, and others are multi-occupancy only. Please inform us of your preference so we can make suitable recommendations.
What locations are your program partners?
We continually update our partners and add new locations. Currently, our program partners are located across England, Spain, and Italy.
What language are the programs?
The primary language of all programs is English. Depending on your program choice, coaches may speak multiple languages. We encourage players to learn the local language, and all programs offer this opportunity.
