How to Spot a Legitimate Football Programme in Spain: 10 Questions to Ask

The biggest variable in this market is not licence or no licence. It is whether what you are sold is what you actually receive.

The Spanish football market has excellent programmes at every level, with and without official playing licences, with and without club partnerships, with and without big international brand presence. The real question is not which type of programme is best. The real question is whether the programme you are looking at is honest about what it actually delivers.

Transparency Is the Variable That Matters

Some of the best programmes in Spain are academy-style without an RFEF licence, and they are upfront about it. Players and families know exactly what they are paying for, the experience matches the marketing, and the outcome is real. Others sell competitive integration, charge for it, and quietly deliver something different. The product is not the problem. The honesty is.

The Questions That Reveal Everything

Ask directly. Pay close attention to whether the answers are specific or vague.

**10 QUESTIONS TO ASK BEFORE YOU COMMIT**
**1.**  What exactly am I paying for, and what is the actual deliverable each week?
**2.**  Is there an official RFEF or territorial playing licence? If not, what is the football product instead?
**3.**  What division or competition will I play in, and how often?
**4.**  Who is responsible for player welfare and what is their direct contact?
**5.**  How do they handle problems when they arise mid-season?
**6.**  Can I speak independently with families of previous players?
**7.**  What education provider is used and is it accredited for visa purposes?
**8.**  What is the accommodation arrangement and who else lives there?
**9.**  What is the refund policy if the programme cannot deliver?
**10.**  Will I get this in writing before any money changes hands?

The Bottom Line

There are many good options in this market. There are also options where the marketing is doing more work than the substance. Ten clear questions and the willingness to walk away if the answers are vague is the single best filter you have.

This is a significant investment. Ask the questions before you commit.

The starting point for any player we work with is an honest evaluation. Submit yours at nxtfootballer.com/evaluate.
